Thermogravimetric analysis/Differential scanning calorimetry is used to calculate the thermal of a material and the fraction of volatile components by calculating changes in weight calculated by changes in temperature.
Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) testing requirements at temperatures of 30 - 1000°C:
- Samples are solids with a diameter of <1> - Sample weight min. 100 mg.
- The sample does not contain a sticky material such as rubber.
- Samples must be accompanied by information on process conditions including the desired temperature, gas flow used (air or N2) and heating rate (5 °C/min or 10 °C/min). This information is written in Elsa's application description
- If you do not include the process conditions, we will enter them into our DEFAULT settings (Temperature 1000 oC, Nitrogen gas usage, Heating Rate 10°C/minute)

- Samples that have been tested will be stored in the laboratory for a maximum of 3 months.
- Samples not taken within this time will be destroyed
