FESEM EDS (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope) Testing
FESEM EDS testing provides topographical and morphological data of both organic and inorganic materials, along with elemental identification using the pointing, line, or mapping method. The FESEM Thermo Scientific Quattro S is equipped with an EDS Detector, WetSTEM, Heating Stage, and Tensile Stage. FESEM can provide topographical information at magnifications ranging from 100x to over 100,000x, depending on the sample type.
Sample Preparation for Testing- The tested sample must be a dry powder or solid and ready for observation. The maximum sample size for solid samples is 1x1x1 cm.
- Please specify the sample type in the service description and provide three desired magnifications (e.g., 1000x, 5000x, 10,000x).
- The Testing Detail Form must be attached, including a printed reference image of the desired result, and submitted along with the sample.
- Instrument: Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM)
- Brand/Type: Thermo Scientific Quattro S with EDS Detector, WetSTEM, Heating Stage, and Tensile Stage
- BMN Equipment Number: 3.08.06.05.010.1
- FE-SEM Imaging (3 images with different magnifications): Rp. 1.000,000
- FE-SEM + EDS (1 point): Rp. 1,000,000 (3 images with different magnifications)
- FE-SEM + EDS (2 points): Rp. 1,100,000 (3 images with different magnifications and 2 EDS points)
- FE-SEM + EDS (3 points): Rp. 1,200,000 (3 images with different magnifications and 3 EDS points)
- Additional Image: Rp. 50,000 per image
- The Testing Detail Form is mandatory; without it, the service request will be rejected.
- Tested samples must be collected within a maximum of 2 weeks after the test results are issued. If not collected within the given timeframe, the samples will be disposed of by the laboratory.
