The measurement of a rocket's center of gravity (CG) is an important stage in the design and testing process to ensure the rocket's flight stability. The center of gravity is the point where the rocket's mass is considered to be concentrated, and its position greatly affects the balance and aerodynamic characteristics during flight.
The measurement process is conducted after all rocket components are fully assembled, including the body structure, fins, propulsion system, and payload.
The method used involves two scales. The position of the center of gravity is usually measured using a measuring tool from the tip of the rocket's nose cone. This value is recorded in units of length.
