Unit: XPS Kratos AXIS SUPRA PLUS/ESCA

X-ray photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) also known as Electron Spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis (ESCA) is a spectroscopic technique that utilizes the photoelectric effect to analyze the elemental content of a material. This technique is very sensitive to surfaces because the X-ray beam shined on the material only penetrates to a depth of the order of 10 nm. Therefore, this spectroscopic technique is very specific for analyzing the surface of a material and is a key characterization technique in the field of surface science.

In this service, Wide or Survey Scan testing will be carried out which is characterized by a wide energy range to detect all possible elementals contained on the surface of the material, and Narrow or Regional Scan which is characterized by a certain narrower energy range according to the specific type of elemental desired. observed further.

Advanced data processing such as element identification, chemical composition, deconvolution, and so on can use separate software or the "ESCApe" software from Kratos AXIS Supra + which is installed on a special computer and can be registered via the link: https://elsa.brin.go.id/service/index/Software Analysis XPS/7103

Notes:
1. Before clicking Request a Service, please see the available SCHEDULE first.
2. To facilitate verification of registered test samples, customers must complete Form F-10 which can be downloaded in the "Service Files" section then select "Service SOP Files". Form F-10 that has been filled in. PDF format is uploaded along with Sample Photos in the "Other Supporting Files" and "Photo Data Files" sections.
3. Make sure that the NAME and NUMBER OF SAMPLES registered with ELSA are the same as the NUMBER OF SAMPLES written on Form F-10.
4. Incompleteness of these supporting documents may cause the test sample registration to be canceled by the Laboratory Management.
5. Due to the very sensitive surface, please be more careful when sending samples. It is recommended to cover/cover the sample with clean aluminum foil before placing it in a plastic container/bottle/other container.
6. Refunds cannot be made unless there are technical problems at the Laboratory.
7. If the sample will be taken again. The maximum time limit for sampling is 1 month (30 working days) after the test has been completed.
