This total beta analysis service in urine samples is an internal service of BRIN regarding the requirements for operating permits for nuclear installations/radiation facilities in the Serpong Nuclear Area to determine the internal radiation dose received by radiation workers in-vitro.
The nuclear installation/radiation facility in the Serpong Nuclear Area, whose radiation workers require total beta analysis in urine samples, submits a letter of application along with a list of names of radiation workers whose urine samples will be analyzed via ELSA. The urine sample is then sent directly to the laboratory. Urine samples were analyzed to determine total beta-emitting radionuclide activity and in-vitro dose of internal radiation.
