Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) is used for chemical elemental analysis of materials. The characterization capability is largely due to the basic principle that each element has a unique atomic structure which allows for a unique set of peaks in its electromagnetic emission spectrum (which is the main principle of spectroscopy).
Application Requirements:
This testing service is EDS analysis using 1 feature of the three features offered, namely Point (3 points), Line, or Point Area.
The sample is in the form of powder or solid which has a flat surface with dimensions of 2 cm and a thickness of < 2>
