Tool for measuring the molecular weight distribution of polymers with a molecular weight range of 500-2100000. In the chromatography section, the stationary phase is a porous matrix in the form of polymer or gel cross-links. The principle works in the form of separation based on molecular size where the gel acts as a filter. Molecules that have a higher molecular weight will escape first than molecules that have a smaller molecular weight. The standard used is the Polystyren standard with a range of 500-2100000.
Samples that can be analyzed are in the form of polymers or macromolecular compounds that can dissolve in THF or chloroform.
Sample terms:
1. The sample is in the form of a gel or solid
2. The minimum sample size is 5 grams
3. The sample is soluble in THF or Chloroform
4. Estimated molecular weight range 500-2100000 Da
