The cNODE® MiniS transponder from Kongsberg Maritime has an impressive feature set, including 560+ Cymbal digital acoustic channels and FSK B channels. The transponder is available with 4000 m and 7000 m pressure rated housings as well as different transducer options. The cNODE MiniS transponder is ideal for positioning the WROV or Towfish in SSBL mode. For noisy vehicles or for faster position update speed, responder mode is available. Internal tilt sensor data can be transmitted on the back of the navigation reply without requiring additional telemetry to provide the position and attitude of the tracked target simultaneously.
cNODE MiniS has full LBL capabilities, can be used to measure baselines, be used as part of an LBL array or tracked as an LBL target transponder. The transponder can be configured with RS232 lines or with acoustic telemetry and the unit is fully compatible with HiPAP®, µPAP® and cPAP® mid-frequency underwater positioning systems for precise coverage and positioning using Cymbal's acoustic wideband protocol. The cNODE® MiniS 3x has a compact enclosure for the transponder electronics that can be powered by an internal rechargeable battery or an external 24 VDC power supply.
