This instrument is used for analysis of specific surface area and porosity using the principle of physical adsorption (physisorption). In physics (physical adsorption), a certain amount of inert gas, at a very low temperature (77 K), and vacuum pressure are adsorbed on the surface of a porous material. This physisorption does not depend on the nature of the sample, but only depends on the surface area and pore structure. The surface area of the material being analyzed (sample) is measured from the number of molecules deposited (adsorbed) in the monolayer. While the pore size is determined by the condensing pressure (evaporation pressure) of the gas in the pores. The sample requirements must be accompanied by information on the degassing temperature and the degassing time of the test sample.
Data must be filled in as analysis conditions (WRITE IN SERVICE DESCRIPTION)
(1) What is the degassing temperature and time?
(2) Does the sample have resistance up to 300 °C? If no, (state the sample temperature resistance: ....°C)
(3) What method is desired (BET Pore Size Distribution)? Is it the BJH, DFT, DH, HK, or SF method?
(4) Estimated value of the sample surface area? <1000>1000 m2/g?
(5) What are the properties of the sample? Corrosive, toxic, volatile, hygroscopic/easily absorbs water vapor or causes irritation?
ATTENTION:
APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE INFORMATION WILL BE ENTERED INTO THE DEFAULT SETTINGS (Degassing Temperature 300 oC and duration 1 hour)
SAMPLE PREPARATION OF THE BET INSTRUMENT USES THE FLOW PREPARATION SYSTEM NOT VACUUM PREP, THE SAMPLE MUST BE ENSURED TO MATCH THE FLOW PREPARATION
More info:

Additional information:
- Samples that have been tested will be stored in the laboratory for a maximum of 3 months.
- Samples not taken within this time will be destroyed
