CHN analysis is an analysis to determine the composition of carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and nitrogen (N) in an organic material. Calculations to determine the percentage content of carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen in organic compounds based on the Dumas method. The method involves the complete and instantaneous oxidation of the sample by means of flash combustion. The combustion gases are separated by column chromatography and then detected by a thermal conductivity detector (TCD) which gives an output signal proportional to the concentration of the individual components of the gas mixture.
The CHN analyzer available at the  Research Center of Chemistry  is the CHN Analyzer with the CHN 628 (Leco) type.

Additional information:
- Samples that have been tested will be stored in the laboratory for a maximum of 3 months.
- Samples not taken within this time will be destroyed
