Detection of Aeromonas veronii is carried out using PCR and qPCR methods to ensure the presence of bacteria specifically and quantitatively. Conventional PCR is used to amplify target virulence or housekeeping genes as initial identification, while qPCR (quantitative PCR) is used to measure the relative amount of bacterial DNA in a sample in real-time, providing precise data on the level of infection. This process involves DNA extraction, use of specific primers, and analysis of amplification results through electrophoresis (PCR) or amplification curves (qPCR).
