The Fuse Bead Manufacturing Service using Electric Fusion is a sample preparation service used to produce homogeneous glass beads from inorganic solid samples through a high-temperature melting process using an electric fusion furnace. This method is commonly used as a preparation step before elemental composition analysis using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) to obtain accurate and representative analysis results.

Fuse bead manufacturing is applied to various types of mineral samples, including rocks, ores, cement, clinker, ash, slag, soil, sediment, and other inorganic materials. The sample is mixed with a specific flux (e.g., lithium tetraborate, lithium metaborate, or other flux mixtures) in a controlled ratio, then melted to form a homogeneous, segregation-free glass bead.

The service results in a fuse bead ready for XRF analysis with a smooth surface and a homogeneous composition, along with information on the fusion conditions used.
