G.A. Siwabessy Multipurpose Reactor (GAS-MPR) is a pool type research reactor with Uranium Silicide fuel (U3Si2-Al) with a density of 2.96 g / cm3 and an average flux of 2x1014 n / cm2 second. In addition to being used for research in the field of nuclear science and technology, the GAS-MPR facility is also used for serving target irradiation activities. This facility provides various research topics in the fields of neutronics, thermal hydraulics which include experimental, computational and validation and verification. In addition, topics for the development of reactor technology include Mechanical Systems, Instrumentation and Control Systems, Electronic Systems, Chemical Water Treatment Technology and other relevant topics.
