X-ray diffraction (XRD) is an analytical method used to identify crystalline phases in materials by determining lattice structure parameters and to obtain particle size, single crystal determination, and crystal structure determination of unknown materials.
Sample Requirements
POWDER:
Sample size must pass 270 or 325 mesh.
Sample weight must be at least 2 grams.
Sample must be dry, not wet or moist.
Sample pH must be > 3.
METAL:
Sample surface must be flat (top and bottom).
Sample diameter 2-4 cm.
SOLIDS:
Sample thickness 1 mm.
Length 1.9 cm and width 1.4 cm.
Photos must be included (in the submission column).
