Service for testing the level of radioactivity on samples of environmental components and/or samples contaminated with radioactive substances containing gamma-emitting radionuclides.
In more detail, the tests that can be carried out with a gamma spectrometer (multi channel analyzer/MCA) equipment are as follows:
• Uranium, Radium, Thorium and Potassium in soils, rocks and sediments.
• Radionuclide contaminants, such as Cs-137 and Co-60 in water, soil, plants and food.
• Other gamma emitting radionuclides present in solid and liquid matrices.
In addition, this equipment can also carry out tests in the context of certifying a Cs-137 free permit for the import-export of a commodity product.
The minimum number of raw material samples that can be accepted are:
- Solid: 1.5 kg
- Liquid: 2 liters
- Especially for user from internally BRIN, attach research team statement letter or sample testing statement letter from head of the research group or Coordinator are required
