Particle charge analysis (zeta potential) with a zeta potential measurement range of -200 mV to 200 mV. For zeta potential measurement, the laser beam is split into two beams: the input beam and the reference beam. The beam scattered by the sample particles and the reference beam is modulated by a modulator, blocked in a prism, and then detected. The detected signal is converted into a digital signal for calculation and translation into zeta potential units.
The method used is a wet method, where the sample must be a dispersion or emulsion. Samples in the form of solids (fine powders) must be dispersed. The laboratory uses a standard dispersant, aquamillipore. Samples containing corrosive substances, organic solvents such as acetone, and/or those that can dissolve polymers are not accepted. The sample size required for solids is 1-5 g and for liquids is a minimum of 10 mL.
