The Calotest series is designed to quickly characterize coating thicknesses between 0.1 μm and 50 μm on a wide range of materials. The simple ball-cratering method used offers a fast and accurate means of checking the thickness of any kind of coating, whether a single or multilayered stack. Typical examples include CVD, PVD, plasma spray coatings, anodic oxidation layers, chemical and galvanic deposits, polymers, paints, and lacquers. You can choose between three different models depending on your use case.
Sample requirements:
1. Compact design for quick and easy coating thickness determination
2. Sample holder appropriate for a cuboid width up to 47 mm or disc diameter up to 55 mm.
3. Universal sample holder appropriate for a cuboid width up to 84 mm or disc diameter up to 86 mm
4. Hydraulic arm with magnetic foot to target samples of unlimited size
