Description of Iradiator Gamma
Gamma irradiator is equipment that uses a radioactive source in the form of Co-60 to irradiate materials for the purpose of polymerization, preservation, sterilization. Gamma irradiator at the Yogyakarta Radiation Laboratory is a category 1 irradiator with a gamma radiation source in the form of Co-60 with a source activity of 5208 Ci (March 26, 2024) and a dose rate of 2469 Gy/hour (March 26, 2024).
Sample requirements:
Maximum sample dimension diameter 13 cm x 25 cm
Maximum sample weight 2 kg (solid sample)
Maximum sample volume 2 liters (liquid sample)
Customers are required to fill out the Gamma Iradiator request testing form (F-BRIN-LRY-27-04) which can be downloaded at the link below, then upload the file in the other supporting file columns.
