R2Sonic 2020 is a Multibeam Echosounder (MBES) equipment intended for conducting bathymetry surveys in shallow water areas and is very appropriate for surveying coastal areas. The R2Sonic 2020 has a frequency of 200kHz – 450kHz and a beam width of 1.8˚ x 1.8˚ at a frequency of 450kHz and 4˚ x 4˚ at a frequency of 200kHz. The MBES R2Sonic 2020 is capable of mapping the seabed to a depth of 200m (based on manufacturer's specifications) and has a beam count of up to 1024 beams.
