This internship focuses on analyzing meteorological and oceanographic (met-ocean) data from candidate offshore sites for the development of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT). The student will process historical and/or model-based data related to wind speed and direction, wave height, ocean currents, and tidal range. The analysis will be used to determine the environmental characteristics that inform the structural design of FOWTs, including estimation of environmental loads and design life. The outcomes will contribute directly to the design of the FOWT Prototype (α), tailored to Indonesian marine conditions.

- Processing and interpretation of met-ocean data (wind, waves, currents, tides)
- Understanding of ocean dynamics in offshore structural design
- Use of statistical tools, data visualization, and basic modeling (e.g., Python, Excel, MATLAB)
- Integrating environmental data into load estimation and design inputs
- Technical reporting and data-driven spatial analysis skills
- Final-year undergraduate student from Ocean Engineering, Oceanography, Meteorology, Civil Engineering, or related programs
- Completed coursework in Physical Oceanography, Hydrodynamics, or Engineering Statistics
- Able to process and interpret numerical and spatial data
- Able to read technical literature in English
- Preferably experienced with data analysis tools such as Python, Excel, or MATLAB
- Willing to commit to the internship period and capable of working independently or collaboratively
