Activity Topic:
Study of Microbial Organic Fertilizers that Promote Plant Growth. Development of liquid organic fertilizer products and soil conditioners in order to improve plant health and productivity. Investigation of the effects of administering liquid organic fertilizers and soil conditioners on the accumulation of microbial communities in the soil, soil chemical properties and the influence of abiotic factors, especially in improving the health and productivity of host plants.
Scope:
1. Study of banana plant growth-promoting microbes (isolation, selection, characterization & formulation) for the development of banana plant organic fertilizers.
2. Analysis of bacterial communities using the 16S gene amplicon sequencing approach. Analysis of fungal communities using the ITS gene amplicon sequencing approach. Bioinformatic analysis using qiime2 for bacterial communities. Bioinformatic analysis of bacterial WGS Data visualization using the R platform
PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) testing on plants
Analysis of bacterial activity and PGPR formulation. Analysis of microbes producing laccase enzymes. PGPR bioassay test on plants
Analysis of growth hormone content in PGPR. Pesticide biodegradation activity test.
