Definition and explanation: Determining the melting point is very important in identity testing, as many substances can be identified based on their melting point. The M5000 provides fast, easy, and automatic testing of powdered substances with a melting point of up to 400 °C. Thanks to automatic melting point determination, objective measurement results are always guaranteed. Requirements: The test material must be a dry and homogeneous powder. The sample must be completely dry. The sample must be properly packed into the capillary tube. The capillary tube used must be clean and dry. Use a small amount of sample, just enough to fill the capillary tube to a height of 2-5 mm.
