Mixer Mill Service (Retsch MM 400)
Description

The Retsch MM 400 Mixer Mill is a compact and versatile benchtop laboratory instrument specifically designed for dry, wet, and cryogenic grinding of small sample quantities. The instrument is capable of homogenizing up to 2 × 20 mL of powders and suspensions within a few seconds.

The MM 400 is also suitable for:

  • Biological cell disruption

  • DNA/RNA extraction

  • Protein extraction

  • Sample homogenization and particle size reduction

Service Fee

IDR 50,000 per sample

Maximum instrument usage: 1 hour per sample submission.

  • Maximum feed size: ≤ 8 mm

  • Achievable final fineness: ~5 µm

  • Maximum batch volume: 2 × 20 mL

  • Sample pH: Neutral pH is required

alloys, animal feed, bones, ceramics, cereals, chemical products, coal, coke, pharmaceuticals, electronic waste, glass, grains, hair, minerals, oil seeds, ores, paper, plant materials, plastics, sewage sludge, soil, straw, tablets, textiles, tissues, tobacco, waste materials, wood, wool, and other similar materials.

General Requirements
  1. The instrument is available only during official service hours.

  2. The requested analysis session must be specified in the ELSA service application description.

  3. Requests exceeding one session must be submitted as a two-session reservation.

  4. Applications that do not specify the service session or are submitted outside service hours will be rejected.

  5. Applicants must upload all required supporting documents, including:

    • Service request form

    • Supporting photographs/documents available in the service files

  6. Incomplete supporting documents may result in cancellation of sample registration by the verifier.

  7. The sample names and quantities entered in the ELSA System must match those stated in the submitted form.

  8. Sample preparation may be performed independently by the researcher.

  9. Instrument operation is supervised by an Instrument Operator (OA).

  10. The instrument may only be used after full payment has been completed through the ELSA system.

  11. Analytical results will be uploaded through ELSA and automatically stored in the user's RIN account.

Sample Submission Information

Users are required to provide a clear description of the sample material, including sample quantity (weight, volume, or dimensions) during service submission.

Submission of the official service request form is mandatory. Applications submitted without the required form will be rejected.

Sample Retention Policy

Tested samples must be collected within two (2) weeks after the test report has been issued. Samples remaining beyond the retention period may be disposed of in accordance with laboratory policy.
