Activities: Investigation of the effects of organic fertilizer application on the dynamics of microbial populations in the soil, soil chemical properties, abiotic factors, and host plant growth. This is in an effort to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers that will be harmful to the environment if used excessively and in order to create a sustainable and environmentally friendly system.
Topics:
1. Development of liquid organic fertilizer products and soil conditioners in order to improve plant health and productivity.
2. Investigation of the effects of liquid organic fertilizer application and soil conditioners on fluctuations in microbial communities in the soil, soil chemical properties and the influence of abiotic factors, especially in improving the health and productivity of host plants.
Scope of Study:
1. Bacterial community analysis using the 16S gene amplicon sequencing approach
2. Fungal community analysis using the ITS gene amplicon sequencing approach
3. Bioinformatic analysis using qiime2 for bacterial communities
4. Bioinformatic analysis of bacterial WGS
5. Data visualization using the R platform
6. PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) testing on plants
7. Analysis of bacterial activity and PGPR formulation
8. Analysis of microbes producing laccase enzymes
9. PGPR bioassay test on plants
10. Analysis of growth hormone content in PGPR
11. Pesticide biodegradation activity test
