The O/U ratio is one of the tests of pellets or powders in quality control analysis using the gravimetric method. The gravimetric method is an analytical method based on the principle of weighing. The gravimetric method is used in several fields, including knowing a compound species and the content of certain elements or molecules of a known pure compound based on changes in weight or seeing any changes in compounds that occur during heating from UO2 to U3O8.
