Drilling Technique:

Drilling: Basic technique for making new holes in workpieces. The drill bit is selected according to the desired hole diameter. The drill rotation speed is adjusted to the type of material being worked on.
Enlarging Holes (Boring): Used to enlarge existing holes to have more accurate dimensions. Using a boring tool to smooth and adjust the diameter.
Making Threads (Tapping): Used to make internal threads in holes. Using a special drill bit (tap) with controlled rotation.
Reaming: This technique aims to increase the smoothness and precision of the hole diameter. Using a reamer tool for more precise results.
Counterboring (Making Bolt Head Grooves): Used to make holes with a larger diameter at the top so that the bolt or screw head can fit flush with the surface of the workpiece.
Spot Facing (Smoothing the Hole Surface): Helps to flatten the surface around the hole so that components such as washers or nuts can sit properly.
