Description of Research Group Activities/Activity Functions:
1. Primary mineral/ore/mineral commodities containing elements of Rare Earth Metals (Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu )
2. Secondary commodities and unconventional resources containing Rare Earth Metals in the form of alternative resources such as urban mining, e-waste, industrial waste, Lapindo mud etc.
3. Increasing the added value of Rare Earth Metals through low energy comminution process technology (microwave, ultrasonic-assisted), beneficiation, pyrometallurgy, hydrometallurgy, electrometallurgy, solvometallurgy, biometallurgy, plasma technology, ozone and ionometallurgy.
4. Techno-economics, feasibility studies and supply chain for Rare Earth Metals commodities.
Topic of Activity/Research :
1. Extraction of Rare Earth Metals from FABA, Monazit, Senotim, Lapindo Mud, Redmud, Electronic and Industrial Waste, Laterite Nickel Residue, Zircon Sand etc.;
2. Beneficiation of REE Minerals;
3. Technoeconomic Calculations for Processing and Refining REEs.

1. Characterization of Minerals and Sources of Raw Materials containing REEs;
2. REE beneficiation process;
3. REE Extraction Process;
4. Technoeconomic Calculations and Feasibility of the LTJ Industry.
