Description of Functions of Research Activities/Groups:
Development of analytical methods for reactor-based technologies (Neutron Activation Analysis, Neutron Scattering and Neutron Diffraction) and accelerators (PAA, PIGE, PIXE, RBS, Synchrotron, XANES etc.) including sample preparation, sample irradiation, method validation, and analysis data for environmental samples , cultural heritage, food, health, forensics, and others.
Activity/Research Topics: Reactor based techniques (NAA) and Accelerator based techniques (PAA, PIGE, PIXE, RBS, Synchrotron, SR-XRF, XANES) 1. Sample preparation and analysis of environmental samples, cultural heritage, food nutrition, forensics and others
2. Neutron Irradiation (flux, time, and cooling)
3. Method Validation and Quality Assurance: Instrumentation, data analysis and interpretation
Scope of Research Activity Topics:
Application and development of nuclear analysis technique methods for characterizing multielement content (trace, minor and major) in various sample matrices. Multifilter-based sampling and characterization of fine air particulate (PM2.5) samples for identification of pollution sources. Characterization of urban air quality using real-time monitoring based on low-cost sensors. Monitoring radiation exposure in ambient air in real time.
