The Probe Sonicator Q2000 is an instrument used for sample sonication and homogenization using high-intensity ultrasonic waves. Sonication can facilitate the disruption, dispersion, homogenization, emulsification, and extraction of components from various samples, particularly suspensions and liquid samples.

Operation of the Probe Sonicator Q2000 for sample sonication, homogenization, dispersion, emulsification, and extraction using ultrasonic energy according to the operating conditions specified by the user.

Conditions of Use
  1. The user must provide information regarding the sample type, volume, and characteristics before using the equipment.

  2. Samples must be suitable for sonication and have an adequate volume for probe operation.

  3. The user must use a suitable sample container that is resistant to the sonication process.

  4. Samples that are flammable, explosive, or may generate toxic, corrosive, or hazardous gases/vapors are not permitted.

  5. The user must ensure that the probe is properly immersed in the sample and does not touch the bottom or walls of the container during sonication.

  6. Sonication parameters such as amplitude, sonication time, and pulse cycle must be adjusted according to the sample characteristics to prevent excessive heating or sample damage.

  7. For heat-sensitive samples, the use of pulse mode or an appropriate cooling system is recommended.

  8. The probe must be cleaned before and after use in accordance with the equipment SOP to prevent cross-contamination.

  9. Users must comply with the applicable equipment SOP and laboratory safety procedures.

  10. The user is responsible for ensuring the safety and suitability of the sample throughout the sonication process.

  • Session 2: 10:30–11:30 WIB

  • Session 3: 13:00–14:00 WIB

  • Session 4: 14:30–15:30 WIB

Scheduling Requirements
  1. Please specify the requested testing time/session in the service request description according to the available time slots listed above. If the required operating time exceeds the selected session, please submit the request for two sessions.

  2. The actual operation must be conducted according to the scheduled time.

  3. Service requests that do not specify the requested service time in the ELSA description field, or requests submitted outside the available service hours, will be rejected.
