Function Description:
1. Research Activities/Groups: Development of analytical methods for reactor-based technologies (Neutron Activation Analysis, Neutron Scattering and Neutron Diffraction) and accelerators (PAA, PIGE, PIXE, RBS, Synchrotron, XANES etc.), as well as X-Ray-based methods (EDXRF Minipal, Total-XRF, EDXRF Epsilon 5), including sample preparation, sample irradiation, method validation, and data analysis for environmental samples, cultural heritage, food, health, forensics, and others.
2. Activity/research topicsDevelopment of environmental analysis methods using reactor and x-ray-based technologies
3. Scope of Activity/Research Topics
o Application and development of nuclear analysis techniques (XRF and AAN) methods for the characterization of multielement content (trace, minor and major) in various environmental, air, and other sample matrices
o Preparation of samples for irradiation using AAN and measurements using XRF tool
o Collaborate with researchers to input data and process measurement data based on nuclear engineering
o Multifilter-based sampling and characterization of fine air particulate matter (PM2.5) samples for the identification of pollutant sources.
