a. Be sure to inform the type and origin of the sample or the estimated boiling point (so that at the time of testing it can be grouped in groups 1, 2, 3 or 4 according to the test mode at instrument).
b. For unknown samples, at least the composition is known.
c. Cannot be used for fuels containing substantial amounts of residual material.
