The Industrial Radiation Protection Practical Training is an applied program designed to equip participants with essential radiation safety skills through hands-on exercises, including simulated industrial radiography exposure, introductory operation of a gamma irradiator, use of a dummy Troxler gauge for understanding field procedures, and practice in operating and performing quality control on a gamma camera. Participants also receive training in the use of radiation protection instruments such as alpha, beta, and gamma survey meters, personal dosimeters, and TLDs for dose monitoring and risk evaluation. This training ensures that participants can implement ALARA principles, understand field conditions, operate equipment safely, and comply with radiation safety standards set by BAPETEN and IAEA guidelines.
