Tube Furnace (L-6)
This tube furnace is used for metal processing with an operating temperature of up to 1200°C. It operates on a 3-phase system with a power rating of 5000 watts and is equipped with a silicon carbide (SiC) heating element. The system features a tube that can be rotated up to 90 degrees (vertical mode). This facility is intended exclusively for internal BRIN users. This service uses a payment scheme through Elsa Points.
For usage of this furnace outside working hours, users are required to complete Form F-BRIN-02-02 (Application Form for Permission to Use Process, Preparation, Workshop Laboratories, and Other Facilities Outside Working Hours), which can be accessed Aksesibilitas Laboratorium - Download Formulir.
Internal BRIN personnel outside the ORNM Metallurgy Laboratory who wish to use this facility are also required to complete Form F-BRIN-02-05 (Laboratory Usage – Internal Personnel), available in the same menu.
Users are expected to read the SOP and sample requirements listed in the Service Documents before use.
