Chemisorption is a strong (chemical) interaction between the adsorbed molecule and the surface molecule of the active site. It can determine catalyst properties such as percent of metal dispersion, active metal surface area, acid strength, surface acidity, distribution of strength of active sites, and BET surface area. It can also perform pulse chemisorption, temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), desorption (TPD), oxidation (TPO), and reaction analyses and does it automatically. Temperature can be controlled from sub-ambient (-70oC) to 1100oC with programmable heating ramps and plateaus.
