Description: 
This research focuses on designing unit cells for Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) optimized for beamforming applications in wireless communication systems. The unit cells are engineered to dynamically control the phase and/or amplitude of incident electromagnetic waves using active elements such as PIN diodes or varactors. By adjusting the electromagnetic response in real-time, the RIS can steer signals toward specific directions, enhancing spectral efficiency and signal quality. An effective unit cell design is crucial for achieving optimal beamforming performance across various wireless communication scenarios.
