Pada analisa TPD, sampel dipanasi terlebih dahulu untuk membersihkan permukaannya sebelum proses adsorpsi gas. Suhu tahap adsorpsi dapat dipilih sesuai keinginan klien. Suhu kemudian ditingkatkan pada laju yang stabil dengan aliran gas inert pada sampel dan proses desorpsi spesies yang teradsorpsi secara kimia diukur menggunakan Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD). Suhu desorpsi dan jumlah gas yang didesorpsi memberikan informasi berharga untuk menentukan jumlah dan heterogenitas situs aktif, kekuatan chemisorption dan kondisi untuk regenerasi sampel. Gas untuk adsoprsi pada H2-TPD adalah Hidrogen.
Sample requirements:
1. The sample must be a solid powder.
2. The sample must withstand the desired measurement temperature (not experience decomposition/damage).
3. The sample does not have dangerous and corrosive properties that damage the tool.
4. The minimum sample weight is 0.2 grams.
5. The client is required to include and explain the type and content of the material to be tested.

- Samples that have been tested will be stored in the laboratory for a maximum of 3 months.
- Samples not taken within this time will be destroyed
